Lately whenever I have free time it seems I can’t focus long enough to do one task.  I flitter between deciding to respond to emails, tidy up, pack a few things, read a magazine, watch TV and on and on and on.  I don’t know what gives.  Even at work lately it seems i get nothing done between the phone calls and coffee breaks with friends to just trying to organize my desk.  It’s crazy.

This past Father’s Day weekend was at best good & bad.  We were “Samantha free” on Friday night and Saturday during the day but we didnt’ take advantage of it to do something as a couple as there were countless bickerings between us.  Nothing serious it was just one of those things were both of us were cranky and we kept saying the wrong things.  Joe has gone away, again, to Ottawa for work for 4 days.  So I’m at home contemplating the solitude and enjoying it, although surprise surprise missing the bugger. 

Sunday we spent the morning and lunch time down at the lakeshore biking and hanging out at the playground.  We bought Sam this bike seat, called “Wee Ride” that is really great and lets us enjoy bike reading again.  We bought it at Toys R Us and she really loves it.  We plop her in, put her helmet on and away we go.  She gets a kick out of it and we get excercise.  Although that didn’t stop us from dropping in on this restaurant again for lunch.  This time I had the caprese salad; tomatoes, buffalo mozzerella cheese and arugula drizzled with the best balsalmic glaze I have ever tasted.  My mouth is drooling right now remembering it.  One day I’ll have to check this place out at night when I can really focus on what I’m eating and not on where Samantha is running off too!
